Wen man einfach nur guten Wein zu normalen Preisen trinken möchte der beste Platz den man finden kann. De kleine Speisen Auswahl passt zu den Weinen und es fehlt einfach nichts. Kein Schnick Schnack nur guten Wein

Das Bockenheimer Weinkontor im Hinterhof der Schlossstraße ist jedem Weinliebhaber zu empfehlen. Den Wein bestellt man direkt an der Bar, über der die Getränke- und Speisekarte hängt, auf seinen Namen und nimmt ihn mit auf seinen Platz. Im Sommer kann man auch sehr gemütlich draußen sitzen. Neben einer großen Auswahl an Weinen gibt es natürlich auch Säfte, Wasser, Kaffee und Bier (bei allem, was nicht Wein ist, ist die Auswahl jedoch sehr beschränkt - aber es heißt ja nicht umsonst Weinkontor). Toll ist auch die Snackauswahl: Es gibt Oliven, Pistazien, Käse-, Wurstteller, Brezel und Flammkuchen.

The reviews made me think that this would be a wonderful find. It has a nice garden setting and the staff are friendly. However, when it came to wine, even local wines, it was nothing special. These were wines one might find at any hotel or mediocre restaurant. As for the small dishes, well the food was not bad but nothing exciting. I am glad I went but I would not go again.

Versteckt gelegenes Lokal nahe der Frankfurter Messe - war ein Tipp einer meiner Kolleginnen. Und das Suchen nach diesem "Keller" hat sich absolut gelohnt. Ein wirklich liebevoll-ehrlich eingerichtetes kleines Lokal mit einfach lässigem Chic. Nicht allzu viele Sitzplätze, dazu kleine gemütliche Nischen sowie eine kleine Hinterhofterrasse. Gesamt bietet das Lokal vielleicht 100 Sitzplätze - aber der Tip ist bekannt denn auch unter der Woche war der Kontor schön voll. Sehr feine Weinauswahl sowie kleine feine Gerichte (Vorspeisenplatte und warmer Ziegenkäse!!!) - dazu ein ganz reizendes Service-Team. Der richtige Ort um mit Freunden, Kollegen oder sogar bei Geschäftsessen im wahrsten Sinne zu "verhocken".Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ohne Mängel.

The Bockenheimer Weinkontor is a colloquial wine bar, quite hidden from the main street. It used to be a blacksmith workshop, its arches, the fire place and the sheltered garden make it a cozy place. They have different wines which are ordered at the bar, and small snacks/food to go with it. It's a pity they do not have a full kitchen available, they could have extended their food offering. Orders are written down by name in a big book, and you pay once you leave.I like the fact that the wine bar attracts people from different social classes and all ages, and it's easy to strike up a conversation with others or with the personnel. They do not try to be too chic and the pricing is very good for the value received.There is one minor thing I don't like though: they have this huge thing attached to the bar to uncork the bottles quickly... the result is that often there is some cork in the wine.
