We stopped by for dinner at the end of the summer. It was very hot so I only felt like eating something fresh, therefore I was a bit disappointed with the salad offer. Went for risotto with sea food instead and it was really good. View all feedback.
What Nataša Holéczyová doesn't like about Bistro Ristorante Rucola:
We went there once and it will be for sure the last time either. My sister and I took a pizza. I thought it would be a great idea to take the one with mozzarella and Parma ham but it was more a pizza cheese mix than a tasty mozzarella Di buffala. There was a lot of ham on the top of the pizza but i doubt it was ham from Italy. We took a mini Tiramisu for 2€ but even the desert was bad. It was like a sugar bomb withou... View all feedback.
We were a group of five and reserved in advance to ensure we got a table. The waiter was welcoming but after that service was not very good. Two of us ordered starters - one was sent back because it was not correct and my minestrone soup was lukewarm and not very good. From arrival we waited for an hour for the main courses to arrive - the pizzas were very good and crepes were tasty. Prices were however very reasonable so if you are looking for a cheap Italian place, this is fine.

We had pasta with truffles and assorted fish. The meal was great and the service outstanding. Desserts were excellent as well.
When I used to live i this part of Frankfurt I fell in love with this place. No frills or funny business, just good pasta or pizza and a glas of house wine. When my family visited my wife, who has lived in Rome, said that she had not had that great pasta in a bistrorante since she left Rome.
This is a conveniently placed restaurant on the well-known Berger Straße close to Merianplatz U-bahn station. The menu contains a good range of Italian meals at notionally reasonable prices - and we went for pizzas. The initial service was good but the pizzas were only average. The base was thin but rather tough and the cheese had become quite greasy with cooking. One was better than the other with reasonably generous topping. However, overall there was not the feeling that this was a truly authentic Italian pizza. In some ways these were only a notch above a good pizza from a supermarket. Despite our plates being cleared away and 15 minutes later drinks running low, no-one offered us a dessert menu. So we paid the bill and left!
