Fischer Platz - FRANKENMUTH
Fischer Platz
Description
Fischer Platz, nestled within the Bavarian Inn, presents a mixed experience for diners seeking outdoor seating and live entertainment. While the ambiance is enjoyable with good music and a pleasant setting under umbrellas, the food leaves much to be desired. Diners have noted limited menu options served in plastic containers, with tasteless dishes that fall short of expectations—particularly for those craving authentic German cuisine. Additionally, inconsistent service and cleanliness issues detract from the overall experience. Though some guests appreciate the drinks and atmosphere, many agree that the food is best avoided, making it primarily a spot for beverages rather than meals.

Usually, this restaurant is amazing, but unfortunately, they didn't open until 4 PM on the Friday of Oktoberfest. It's always been our first stop on the way to the festival, so it was disappointing to find them closed on such a lovely day. I really hope they're open next year!
This is a fantastic place to enjoy live music and taste some local craft beers. It's an incredibly fun experience!
This is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy an afternoon or evening! I may be a bit partial since I've known Linda Lee, the main performer on weekends, for most of my life, but it really is a wonderful venue! Just a heads up: the prices for food and drinks are a bit higher (a bottle of Bud or Miller Lite will run you $4), but the free entertainment definitely makes it worth it. Make sure to grab a seat under the umbrellas or apply sunscreen, as the sun can be quite intense! Cheers!
This restaurant is a great place to unwind, have some music, and discover new things. Linda Lee is a familiar face in Frankenmuth, and I really love this place. It’s also very wheelchair accessible, with ample space to move around comfortably.
The couple performing at Huron Out tonight really should have stayed home. They were spotted taking pictures in front of the Fischer Platz sign, and one of their fans even stole some of the letters from it. Not exactly a classy move. This incident took place on July 21, 2023, at 9:10 PM.
