The food is usually quite good, but their hours are a bit frustrating. They close at 10 PM, and when we arrived at 9:35 PM, the staff seemed annoyed to serve us and had already shut off the fryers and other equipment. If they don't want to serve customers after 9:30, they should consider adjusting their closing time.
I was behind an older gentleman in line, he ordered his food but didn't ask for Sr. discount. When I ordered,I asked the cashier if she had given the gentleman his Sr. discount she said no that they don't do that anymore. I said well I want my Sr. discountfor my order and she got manager card to give me the discount.
I grew up eating at this restaurant, and the customer service used to be excellent. However, it seems that since hiring new managers, many of them don't seem to care. One manager, who I believe is named Jorge, is exceptional and truly goes the extra mile. Unfortunately, the female managers often have bad attitudes, and the employees don't seem to be motivated either. I really miss the one manager who was there before; he was fantastic. Just look at the bar since lunchtime.
I grew up on Roy Rogers seeing that this still existed was pretty cool. Looked about the same as it always has. Service was good, food however left a lot to be desired. Food was at best average, nothing special definitely a bit disappointingconsidering my fondness for the restaurant from years past.
The good: the chicken was fresh and crispy, and the mozzarella sticks were hot and fresh too. They were melty without being messy. The not-so-great: the roast beef sandwich was a bit disappointing. When I got home and opened it to add toppings, the beef was rather dry and crumbly, yet it soaked through the bottom of the roll to the point where it was falling apart. There wasn't much beef either; it was just a thin layer in the middle of the roll and didn't reach the edges. The biscuit was somewhat off as well. The center was fine, but the edges were overly hard. It seemed like it had been baked, then sat for too long, or maybe it was left under a heat lamp or quickly reheated in the microwave, which made the exterior tough. I’d be willing to give it another try, but I would be cautious about ordering anything other than the chicken based on this first visit, especially since the total ended up being over $17.
