Super cute little corner restaurant with a very attentive staff. We had the enchiladas verdes de pollo, flautas de pollo, caldo Xóchitl (since it was raining) and agua de pina. Prices are great considering you are on the Tulum strip and the place is very clean and has a great view of the tourist strip. View all feedback.
What Candido H doesn't like about Rincon Poblano:
Difficult time during COVID. Came out to the restaurant that was very clean and server was very polite. Guac was excellent. The tacos on the other hand were brought out on a skillet and were 90% onions/peppers with barely any actual meat. Sauces they gave us for chips and tacos were bland and flavorless. At the end the bill was about $50 US and they charged us $67 US with high conversion. They only accept cash but a... View all feedback.
So I was really excited to give this place a try tonight after seeing the menu and some of the photos on TripAdvisor. First of all, the mega burrito with chorizo I got was a major disappointment. Half of it had no chorizo at all, just lettuce, cheese and a tiny bit of beans. The second half had that plus chorizo but was so flat, hardly any filling at all. I have no idea how this is called a mega burrito. Didn 't even taste that good. The second upset was when we finally got our check, the waiter failed to mention we were being charged a service fee , which we caught and asked about. Basically they add on 15% tip for themselves on the bill, even when you only have two people and don 't tell you about it.. guess they 're hoping you tip them on top of the mandatory tip they sneakily tack on. Don 't go here!!!
Stopped at this place after realizing the place I wanted to check out didn't take cards and was all out of cash. We had come to Tulum for the day from Playa del Carmen. Stopped at this place to get out of the sun and was very hungry so decided to eat. This has been the most expensive meal of my vacation as well as the worst food. Beers were refreshing and guac was good. That's about all I have to say for this place. I ordered ceviche which was gross and lukewarm. Chicken tacos were disappointing. My boyfriend got fish tacos which were also disappointing. Overall worst place I have found so far in Mexico
Servicio rápido y rica comida. Un jalapeño relleno de queso y unos frijoles exquisitos y por un precio razonable. Muy limpio. Camareo superamable.
After being beyond hungry and craving some Mexican deliciousness, I decided to give this place a try. Let's just say that I am beyond glad that I did!!! I was greeted by warm customer service, and I placed an order for fish tacos and an order of fresh guacamole. The guacamole came it very fast!!! It had a fresh flavor and I could taste notes of lime and cilantro. The guacamole was so delicious that it was hard to stop eating it. I continued eating it even after my tacos had come out. Now onward to the main course, the tacos had that nice grilled char to them. With that char, you were still able to taste the freshness and deliciousness of the fish! The tortillas were freshly made, and there were both green and red salsas on the side. These salsas added a magic touch! So amazing!! I would highly recommend this place. Cheers to good eats!
