This was the authentic Mexican experience. Pretty sure our waiter did not speak a lick of English. The jugo de melon con leche and the filete de pescado al mojo de ajo were total wins. Best to skip the steak in Mexico unless it's on a taco. View all feedback.
What Dan P doesn't like about La Picadita Jarocha:
Sorry but is a big disappointment. We were 6 and ordered tacos of carne asada, pork asada, pastor, a chicken soup, grilled fish and couple of other dishes. To start the tacos were below average, the pastor meat obviously reheated and rubbery. The carne asada was also reheated. The chicken soup was ok but nothing to rave about. Around the corner there are so many better options. View all feedback.
Accidently came to this place while trying to get to the Yelp hot spot, Antojitos de Chiapaneca. Boy, were we lucky! This is located just off the main street in Tulum. It is an open air restaurant with plastic tables and chairs. Each time we went, we would get a large agua fresca, 6 tacos, and one other item and it would ALWAYS be under $7 USD. Amazing. The food is SO good. We stayed in Tulum 3 nights then went to an all inclusive for 3 nights. We wish we never would of stayed at the all inclusive, so we could of kept eating here each meal! The service was friendly and excellent. They seemed happy and appreciative each time we came back. There are also bike racks out front to tie your bike up while you eat. Favorite: Al Pastor tacos with only the al pstor, pineapple (fresh), and cilantro. SO good! Tortillas are hot and fresh, homemade. It is everything you hope for in a taco!
