Stopped in for a very late lunch outdoors before an appointment at MGH. Being 3pm on a Monday, it was expectedly rather empty so the bartender was doing double duty being the server for the outdoor diners as well. She was wonderful friendly, welcoming and very attentive. I ordered the Seafood Cobb Salad which was AMAZING a huge serving of crisp greens with lobster salad, smoked salmon, shrimp, an egg and I think an e... View all feedback.
What El Jefe doesn't like about Skipjack's:
Food was just ok and very expensive. We ate outside so that was nice. Service was ok. All in all this was an ok experience but not sure I'd return as the value was not there. View all feedback.
Awesome clams on 1/2 shell. Bloody Mary good but no celery; not fancy for the price. Baked cod w corn on cob. Fresh good. The best was the SEAFOOD COBB SALAD. It was Phenomenal. Lobster salad, lots Shrimp, Nova lox all the fixings. Our server was delightful. 1st time here. Will be back. Sat outside on the perfect summer day …
There are many good options to choose from the menu for both food and drinks. At most, the lobster soup was warm. The sea bass was delicious. When coworkers ordered pasta and other stuff, it seemed like they were trying too hard. When one of their orders arrived, a side dish was missing, and the staff argued that it wasn't there before swiftly stating he was correct when the item arrived separately just behind her. Odd. My cocktail was somewhat thinned out. Everything cost a great deal of money.
Went for the pats preseason game on thursday 8/15. usually tailgate but the weather was trash so i made a reservation for skip jack. i arrived 15 min late because of the crap weather and they seated my party of 4 without issue. we got some snow mountain maki sushi for starts which was exceptional AND fresh with chunks of fresh crab on top. before our meals came the waitress offered us a free calamari which we gladly accepted even though one of us ordered some as a meal. our food came and everything was hot, fresh and super good. we asked about dessert and the waitress was so accommodating even though they don't typically serve dessert on game days. we tried their chocolate bread pudding and turtle cheesecake.. DIVINE. Our waitress was amazing.. truly and she was so funny. Had a great time here and would go again when i go back for regular season. oh and try the blueberry lemonade drink... Delicous ... you don't even realize your drinking vodka so be careful :
My wife and I always enjoy coming to Skipjacks for a meal, typically mid to late afternoon. We retired and moved away 5 years ago but this past week we returned to NE for a wedding and stopped at Skipjacks. It was great. Food is very good and the menu has items that are not the standard stuff you find every where. The staff was friendly and service was good. My wife had the lobster salad and I had the Caprese salad and the teriyaki Mahi. Well worth a visit.
Good choices and plenty options to pick from both food and drink menu. Lobster bisque was warm at best. Sea bass was good, very tasty. Other items ordered seemed ordinary and tried too hard when colleagues ordered pasta, etc. then when one of their orders came, it was missing side item which the staff argued about not being there then quickly said he was right when the item came separately right behind her. Strange. My cocktail was a bit watered down. Everything was very expensive. Parking: Shared parking lot with stadium and rest of businesses there.
