Food was excellent! I really appreciated the owner sternly enforcing the covid 19 mask rule. My kids and I were inside and a man entered the restaurant without a mask on and the owner made the man go outside and put his mask on before returning. We will be back View all feedback.
What tara harvey doesn't like about Carlo's Mexican Grill:
I ordered the burrito dinner. Standard steak burrito with rice and beans and side of salsa Verde sauce. If you look up Carlos on Google the picture for their menu prices look affordable but when I got there it was totally different so they need to update that because the online prices are wrong. Other than that service was quick. The food was good but wasn't the best burrito I've had. View all feedback.
Wow ok great tasting carne asada. Love the softer crunchier chips too. Salsa pretty good! Young lady behind counter very attentive and efficient.
Finally giving a review after coming here, every week, for well over 10 years, Outstanding. Sitting here at my desk I decided to weigh my chicken nachos... 2lbs 3oz. They are always friendly. Food never disappoints, ever. I used to frequent all the Mexicanrestaurants here in Fox lake. They are all very good. But I just have no need to go anywhere else.
The chilaquiles are so good, but I had to change my review since i just drove all the way here only to walk in and have them say we are not serving right now, until over 40 min because we got a large carryout order how do you turn away customers walkingin? Mind you my party was only of 1 and have driven 30min to come here.
Authentic Mexican food served here. We were just driving through and need to eat so we stopped in. First off we noticed how friendly this place is. Everyone you made contact with smiles and said hi. Place didn?t look like much but they hit it out ofthe park with good food and hospitality. My go to at a New Mexican restaurant is Chili Rellenos and it was spot on, verysatisfied. Wife ordered Taco Salad and loved it, the serving are large enough to take some home for another meal. Salsa andchips were good, the chips were very light and airy with a perfect crunch. The salsa verde and salsa Roja for tacos were bothtasty with a little heat. Overall we were very pleased with our meals and really enjoyed watching the staff interacting withcustomers. Definitely recommend stopping in if you love Mexican food. Top notch.
AAAA Best Mexican food in our area??Authentic 100%. I went with a friend that always raved about the food. I'm so glad we went. We had Nachos with ground beef guacamole. Steak Enchiladas, Chicken Taco dinner chicken perfectly flavored. I brought steakfajitas to my husband. He was floored and loved all of it???? Thank you again. Thinking of when I will return it was soon good.
