This is the best pho in orange county! The pho broth has so much flavor and it's enhanced by the hoisin and sriracha and other add ins. They always have a discount on the chicken pho and the rice noodle pho is less than $6. The egg rolls are always crispy and hot. There's not a lot of workers. It's very much a mom and pop shop and I think that's what makes it so delicious. Very cute place in the strip mall with limit... View all feedback.
What may t doesn't like about Phở Bánh Mì Chè Cali:
We sat down to dine in. The lady taking our order was horrendous. She looked away each time a person gave her their order, as if she couldn't wait to leave. She was like a dementor, draining any happiness from anyone close to her invisible field of misery. The pho was bland, the children's portions were small. She basically ruined my whole day with her attitude. Run, don't walk, far way from this place. View all feedback.
I needed to eat. Spouse wanted wings but I spied the pho shop and thought, Banh MI. Went in and talked to the nice lady. 10 minimum charge for credit purchases, so I got two bbq pork banh mi to get the min. The baguette was wonderful, just the right amt of meat and vegetables. Good amount of cilantro (yay! tho I would have liked a little more jalapeno. Didn't toast the baguette, and no mayo fine by me. I'll go back there.

Guessing that Banh Mi Che Cali in Fountain Valley is the sister restaurant to Banh Mi Che Cali in Westminster, I chose to eat at the former this time because it's closer to my starting point and easier to access the freeway. Like the other restaurant, you can get the same deal of buying two sandwiches and getting one free albeit prices have gone up. While waiting for my three roast pork sandwiches (my usual order), I noticed that there is a good-sized dining area (not available in Westminster) and that the overall vibe was relaxed and not frenetic like in Westminster. In addition to ordering three sandwiches, I ordered a baguette (no longer $1), and three sesame balls. While the sesame balls had a nice crispy crust on the outside, there was minimal filling on the inside. Because of the crispy crust, I would still buy these again. Another noticeable difference is that the sandwich bread does not have that crispy crust that shatters everywhere when you take a bite. For a couple reasons, I didn't mind because it meant that my mouth wouldn't be cut up from eating the bread and I wouldn't have to vacuum my car the minute I arrived home. Bye-bye Westminster, I'm going to Fountain Valley from now on.
We got in this restaurant around 6:35 pm on Saturday night the 18th of February. It was about 1/3 full. We sat down and waited for the waiter to come. About 10 minutes later he came to our table and we ordered the food. We had plenty of time to look around and we saw there was only one waiter, a very young man running from one table to the next one, and multiple trips to the counter for other guests request. He also was the only one to bring food to the tables for guests. He was running everything and everywhere in the restaurant. We felt so bad for him. By the time we got our food it was 40 minutes after we ordered, and the food was not very warm. On top of that, the quality of the dishes were not the same as it was last few times we were there. The broth of the soup tasted like the dishwasher water. It was absolutely awful. We were completely falling backwards with disappointment. The Vietnamese beef and chicken noodles soup was excellent, but not today. We are very disappointed. We will never go back to this restaurant again. We will also tell our family members and friends about this experience. We feel very sorry for the staff in this restaurant. They are working very hard to serve customers. We truly believe that the owner of this establishment is responsible for providing the best service and quality of the products being sold in this restaurant.
