So here we stay at Cap Coz and look for a high-quality lunch restaurant with a special kitchen and relaxed atmosphere, must have exceptional service, in a cozy community, through the water, so we can walk after we eat... so we see...round, talk to some locals and we find the restaurant with all our answers and then some... we ordered scallops and shrimps and monks, then a dessert Gourmand... we are very... What Joséphine Turpin doesn't like about La Boite a Sardines:
The restaurant looked fancy and modern. We walked in at opening time 18:30 and got a table for two. After that non-reservations were turned down. We ordered their Sardines in a box. The grilled sardines had still grates in them. Cutlery was not right for that. The other choice was Sardines crumbled. Tastful but small portion for main (but fitting in a sardine box). We had choice of sauce and potatoes/chips. One cours... View all feedback.
I've been here twice in July. Two times started with a creamy Cassoulet... perfect for me. Two times I had the same dessert... pieces of Pavlova, ice cream, summer fuits with cream. Delicious, refreshing and a little extravagant. The most important courses for me were fresh fish with simple vegetables... very good. My advice... keep booking. The customer receives good value for a good meal.
Here twice for a stay in Beg Meil.... Tuna a la plancha is just delicious and don't let me start in the deserts! Don't be afraid of the daily menu at lunch. Make sure you have a...seven as it is very popular among visitors and locals alike. We will surely go hotfoot to these restaurants when we return to Beg Meil!!
This after reviewing reviews on TripAdvisor and not disappointed. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, slow because busy, but quality of food does not suffer and teenage son said this gave us more time to enjoy the trip! Starters of oysters, salmon gravadlax and fois grass... were all delicious, main of paella, duck, sardines, steak and vegetarian also very good, and desserts of profiteroles and tarte aux pomme rounded off the meal nicely. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and suggest the booking as it was full at about 8 a.m.
Excellend restaurant. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The cod and paella were suberb. We will be returning.
We had lovely food, and lovely service. The staff were very family friendly, and the kids enjoyed it as much as us, and the fish was delicious and fresh. It was just a great place all round. Probably book though - we went on Sunday night, and they were turning people away!
