What Tom Oliver doesn't like about Tokyo Village Grill Sushi:
Ordered Chicken Teriyaki and Vegetable Tempura Bento box dinner and though expensive, it was horrible. All chicken pieces had heavy layer of fatty skin on them and vegetable tempura was actually sweet potato tempura served cold. Great experience and friendly staff to help guide you through the options. It helps if you are on expenses or go for lunch.
I decided to stop by this restaurant for a quick lunch after a seminar. We ordered the tempura udon soup, a sashimi sampler, and a few side dishes. I have to highlight the presentation and taste of the sashimi sampler. It was beautifully presented on a bed of ice in a glass bowl, complete with some LED lighting at the bottom! The color-changing lights really enhanced the visual appeal of the dish. The shrimp tempura that accompanied the udon soup was perfectly crispy, with a light breading that wasn’t bland at all. Overall, it was a delightful experience!
This place never disappoints. They have great food for fair prices, there no long wait even when the spot is packed.
The rolls were quite good, with a lovely flavor, and the waitress was very attentive.
Very attentive service, high quality sushi. Typical prices for the Bay Area, really nice place for a meal solo or with friends. Quiet enough to enjoy conversation or relax.
