I ordered the mushroom tofu soup and specified I wanted vegan broth. Apparently it comes with sides too, some of which are not vegan, so make sure to specify you want vegan sides!
They were willing to accommodate us. They list that their salt on certain dishes is actually shrimp, so they know and are looking out. I did ask for mine to be mild and it was the hottest thing I ever ate. Maybe a miscommunication. Everyone loved their food. Staff is super nice.
Had three dishes from the vegetarian menu the steamed vegetable dumplings (Yachae Chin Mandoo) which were delicious, the clear yam noodles with vegetable (Jabchae Bokum) which were nice but quite oily, and the signature Soon Tofu Stew which was yummy but came out last so we were full from the previous two dishes! Great service from this family operated restaurant. When the owner saw we were ordering from the vegetarian menu he asked if we were vegetarians and made sure all the complimentary side dishes (barchan) that come with a Korean meal were veg.
