Shiki Bento House - Foster City

The bento boxes are reasonably priced and served in a walk-up, order-at-the-counter style. They also offer boba, frozen yogurt, and beer. The fish is fresh, and the portions are generous.

If you're just looking for a place to have a meal, this restaurant fits the bill. There's not much more to say—prices are reasonable, the food is passable, and the atmosphere isn't very remarkable.

I used to love this restaurant for its fresh and tasty food, but after a two-year break, I was disappointed. It seems like they’ve changed chefs, and unfortunately, the change isn’t positive. I dined there with a friend, and we both found the meat to be incredibly old—so much so that I was genuinely worried about getting food poisoning. My friend couldn’t even finish her meal because she felt uneasy about it. The rice was stale and hard, lacking any flavor and overall very unappetizing. This experience was truly disappointing. I wish I could have enjoyed my meal and written a positive review, but I would be lying if I said otherwise. I highly advise steering clear of this place!

The Japanese cuisine here is both affordable and delicious. While the atmosphere isn't upscale, the food is genuinely enjoyable.
