Exceptional food, lots of choices and large portions if you want. Was in the area for something else, didn't know where to eat, and ended up extremely pleased with our choice. View all feedback.
Basically the same Mongolian BBQ from the Midwest. I have not eaten Mongolian bbq since college in over a decade and the taste is exactly the same. It is what it is. It's pretty good if you're hungry as you can pile on a lot of stuff.
I 've missed a good Mongolian BBQ place and this was a great accidental find in foster city . People, go try it if you like or have not tried before . You should not be sorry . It 's all you can eat for under $20 fresh cooked over this huge bbq grill by their cooks . You put all the ingredients together ... from shaved chicken, 'pork, lamb, beef to all sorts of vegetables and then create your own marinade over the meat . They do the rest. Side dishes include egg rolls, hot soup, rice, sugar donut dessert and self serve soft ice cream . I do feel this restaurant needs better outside signage and perhaps photos of the food etc. I see so many people go into the restaurants on either side of Gobi after short glance at somewhat drag looking Gobi entrance and interior . The workers are very friendly .
Great place for lunch, I try to go every time I am near Foster City!
In terms of presentation, it wasn't very impressive, so don't expect it to look like the pictures displayed outside the restaurant. The noodles were a bit too soft for my liking, but the flavor was good. Communication can be a bit of a challenge since the staff speaks very little English, making it hard to convey your needs. You can get a soda with free refills for $1.99. They still have Mongolian dishes available for all-you-can-eat as well.
The selection of ingredients is excellent, and the sauces are absolutely delicious!
