Carl's Jr. - Foster City

I'm surprised this restaurant is able to stay open. It's always empty whenever I come here. Yesterday, there were no other customers when we dined here. There seemed to be more kitchen staff than patrons.

I would give this restaurant a zero if I could. The drive-thru is supposed to be open 24 hours, but last night the employees inside refused to take my order. They wouldn't even acknowledge me or provide an explanation for why they wouldn't take my order. Instead, they were inside laughing and pretending to sweep. I ended up going across the street to McDonald's where I was treated amazingly.

I decided to try some overpriced fast food here, and boy was it a mistake. I ordered 2 burgers, one of the burgers looked like they had a fight with the patty, it was all mangled and torn. I ordered chicken strips and they were old and cold. My meal camewith a drink and the drinks tasted like the syrup was going out. This is a poorly managed location who charges top notch pricesfor low quality food. Your better off going elsewhere, the food overall was disgusting.

We asked for ranch for our order of jalapeño poppers, some bbq and honey mustard for our fries, we were told that the manager told them to not give them away because it is too much plastic? So we ended up paying for them. What?!

I rarely give 5 stars to any fast food chain, but this place definitely deserves it, especially for their drive-thru service. This was the first time I actually enjoyed fast food since my childhood at McDonald's. The specific Carl's Jr. I visited had amazing food. I ordered the Double Six Dollar Jalapeño Burger combo and it was cooked perfectly with delicious flavors. The cross-cut fries were a reddish-brown color and seasoned well, reminiscent of the good old days when McDonald's fries were crispy and irresistible. The drink had just the right amount of ice, not an excessive amount. Honestly, the food at this Carl's Jr. surpasses all other restaurants, especially those in the Contra Costa Area, Alameda Area, and all Hardee's restaurants in the Carolina states. The staff were friendly and I will definitely be visiting them regularly before crossing that bridge. Next time, I'm going to try the double western, as it was my favorite as a kid.
