Honorable mention goes to the waitress who single-handedly served everything in excellent time. Generous portions; if I were in the area again, I would gladly return. Excellent value.

Everything... read more We took a mini vacation in Fossacesia, a beautiful, welcoming, and hospitable village. We had lunch and dinner for two days at the Bucco restaurant. Everything was delicious, the freshest fish was cooked to perfection, and the prices were top-notch. Thanks to Maria and her staff. Her son in the kitchen is an excellent chef!

The lady at the check... read more Despite the goodness of the fries ordered, 3 to be precise, the overall experience was compromised by uncourteous service at the checkout. The lady at the checkout complained rudely about having to issue two separate receipts and expressed her disappointment about the commission charges. This unprofessional attitude affected my perception of the place and made me decide not to return. I believe that freedom of choice in payment method should be respected without negative comments from staff. If you have commission costs that are too high, remove the possibility.

But what wa... read more Update August 17, 2019: Now the place looks more pleasant, while the pizzas seem to have improved even more even though they were already excellent. But what was surprising was the speed, precision and courtesy of the staff. Worth noting is the great efficiency in the takeaway service: fast and precise. Original review: With this review I would like to highlight some critical issues with the beneficial intention of being able to make an improvement contribution to the restaurant. First of all I would like to talk about the welcome. We were greeted with fear by very young and friendly guys, but evidently with little experience. I am happy to see that the restaurant believes in young people, but I believe that there is a need for an experienced professional figure to support them in order to develop their skills and potential adequately. Even with an empty room, the waiters had difficulty choosing a free table despite the plethora of seats available. Despite this, we were given a table in a remote location which we initially approved assuming the availability of air conditioning which, alas, was not present. In emergency situations (at the end of the meal the owner told us about a malfunction of the ventilation system due to an unexpected event), it would be better to warn customers in advance of the possible inconveniences resulting from misunderstandings which, in the end, can happen to everyone . Secondly, I would like to talk about the table service: imprecise, fearful and decidedly slow. I understand the typically Mediterranean relaxed atmosphere, but in my case it was simple slowness. Despite everything, the pizzas ordered proved to be good and tasty and as we watched the dishes pass by during our long wait we understood how the kitchen is capable of preparing tasty, good quality Mediterranean delicacies. However, I made the mistake of ordering a cold cuts appetizer. Error because, certainly, being in an area with excellent fish, I shouldn 't have focused on cured meats which, as they wanted to demonstrate, didn 't satisfy me. A fish appetizer is definitely the right choice. The last observation concerns the presentation of the venue. The typically summery and Mediterranean 80s system is pleasant, but the RDS background sounds very out of place with the atmosphere of the place. Warmer, more enveloping lights and a piano-themed Spotify playlist would greatly improve the positive perception of the restaurant.
