I visited last week for their Happy Hour appetizer special, and I have to say the appetizers were fantastic! The service was excellent, the happy hour selection was impressive, and everything was wonderful. View all feedback.
What Deb D doesn't like about The Tavern:
I eat at this restaurant once a month sometimes more. I drive from Aledo and my friend who joins me constantly Mrs in from Colleyville. Very disappointed with my beak today. Ordered the special Fried Flounder (overcooked) instead if Spanish had the special asparagus ... wasn't told mashed potatoes were part if this special but they were cold so h didn't eat them. My biggest complaint if the asparagus (2 stalks with t... View all feedback.
I love the ambiance of relaxing and sophisticated with wonderful menu options and quick service . Close to home!!
We love eating there The staff are friendly and helpful last time. we had CodyBut we love them allAnd they have our favorite BV TapestryDelmonico steak is great and so was tender and tasty
NOT A KID FRIENDLY PLACE. They do not have a kids menu. Don’t sit outside because there are lots of gnats and flies. Ordered the only burger on the menu and you couldn’t substitute the chips for fries! What?!!! The chips were not great too. So I paid for something I didn’t want. Who does that these days? The burger is really good though! That’s the only reason I added the other star.
The hosts for our monthly dinner group this month picked The Tavern. Great choice. There were only six of us this month but everyone loved their food and the service was excellent. The Tavern was a busy place on a Saturday evening; even at 6pm. And the noise level was a bit high. We were seated at a round booth that was a bit of a tight fit but at least we were close enough together that we could hear each other. The entrees everyone ordered ranged from the Zuni Chicken Salad (my choice) to the Prime Meatloaf, the Rotisserie Pork Chop, the French Dip, the Fort Worth Cobb Salad and the Famous Pastrami Sandwich. Literally everyone loved their food. The pork chop was huge (definitely two and maybe three meals) but moist and tender. My wife had the meatloaf and brought half of it home for another meal. It came with mashed potatoes that she said were ok. She didn't think they were homemade but they were good enough. I ate too many appetizers at the hosts' home so I wasn't overly hungry so the Zuni Chicken Salad was just right. A lot of times the chicken chunks on a salad like this aren't the best cut. But this had white meat chicken that was tender and moist as all get out. And all of the ingredients were fresh/ We were near the kitchen so I watched a lot of food come out. Everything looked good! Gabriela took great care of us. She checked on us just often enough and kept my Diet Coke glass full which can be challenging. I'm already planning on taking a friend of mine that loves pastrami there to try their Famous Pastrami Sandwich. The person in our group that had it ate it all (which was a challenge because it was huge like the other entrees) and said he'd have it again.
Yum! My roommates and I decided to have dinner at Tavern and it did not disappoint! I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant and enjoyed my meal just as much. I ordered the rigatoni which came with a bolognese type sauce and toasted bread. I loved this pasta, and enjoyed my nibbles off my friends' plates too. I definitely recommend Tavern and will surely be back!
