An amazing birthday dinner where we loved our time from start to finish. Visited with Ethan at the bar when we first arrived, and shared a bottle of bubbles during the happy hour. He makes a great whiskey sour, and also a Spanish coffee, and we visited about Oregon. Also enjoyed the beef tartare and salmon rillettes at the bar before we were seated. Moving to our table, Lauren welcomed us and reviewed some menu highl... View all feedback.
What Nicole C doesn't like about The Cool Kids Table:
Staff was friendly. Restaurant was very adorable. Food was ok. My husband and I wanted to support local for our 5 year anniversary. I wrote twice in our reservation it was our anniversary. We were COMPLETELY FAILED by the staff on this one. Not even a single happy anniversary. SMH. It was not a night of celebration. It was not a good feeling. Where to start? The first time I came here it immediately became one of my favorite restaurants. Since moving to the area, I've had countless wonderful meals at Clay Pigeon with family and friends. My experience is always superb fantastic atmosphere, great food with a menu that changes based on what's in season, and stellar service. The brick walls, fireplace, gorgeous bar, and lighting all contribute to a cozy, welcoming, romantic atmosphere that truly adds to the whole experience. Everything I have ordered here has been delicious. The menu changes seasonally but keeps its same general structure, so you can come back again and again and try new flavors. Most recently I had the house made pasta, which was delicious. Their salads are also very good. And don't forget to ask for a dessert menu you won't be disappointed. They also have a fantastic beverage selection, with seasonal cocktails that are fun to try. The staff here is the epitome of professional while still being warm and friendly. I definitely recommend making a reservation here as it is almost always busy. There is valet parking. Clay Pigeon is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in Fort Worth.
Food was pretty good, some dishes were extremely salty but at least they were flavorful. (My 4 guests agreed with this statement) Steak Tartare salty and amazing, would order again Salmon dry but flavorful Bone marrow amazing but salty. Super buttery Duck phenomenal, love that it tasted high quality and the sauce was delicious. The greens were amazing too. Steak frites really good, fries were unbearable salty but the meat was yummy. Wish there was a sauce to compliment Pasta shrimp was fresh and tasty. Everything in it was delicious! Our waitress was amazing and super attentive. She deserves 5 stars! When you walk into the restaurant, it smells clean and smoky at the same time very Texas. Ambiance was pretty chill, dim lighting and noise level is moderate. Bathrooms were super clean.
My husband and I came here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the service was incredible they wished us a happy anniversary and made us feel welcome for it being our first time there. The ambiance was very laid back but it felt a bit upscale. We sat next to the bar and we got a view of the kitchen. In the restrooms they had cloth towels to wash your hands and they also had a mouthwash section. I'd definitely return!
So my son picked this pace for his Birthday dinner. And I was really excited to try it. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly. She told us about three daily specials and that everything was locally sourced and the chef was outstanding. So I ordered two of the daily specials. My first was the soup, cream of tomato. It came out Luke warm but tasty. I really like my soup to be on the hotter side. So my next was the pasta of the day. It was made in house and was a tomato base with shrimp and crab. But the actual pasta was tough. Like it was over kneaded. And it was my son's Birthday but they never brought him anything. Just asked if we would like to see the dessert menu. I had specifically told them it was his Birthday? Anyway. Not on my rotation to return.
