What User doesn't like about Buffalo West:
I never got to eat at this restaurant. I waited at the hostess stand for a while. I was never greeted. Several people who worked there never spoke or even came my way. It smelled of a funeral home from all the taxidermy animals. I was very dissatisfied. I would not give this restaurant another chance. As a black woman, I felt offended that I was the only person of color, and was not treated with any customer service... View all feedback.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with a fantastic salad bar located in a historical Steak Ale. The atmosphere was updated while still maintaining its classic charm. The restaurant features a spacious patio with a bar and multiple private dining rooms. The salad bar was impressive and the lobster bisque was absolutely delicious. The steak was perfectly seasoned as well.
This restaurant is not known for having the best steak in Fort Worth, but it is good for the price. It reminded me of the Steak and Ale chain. I tried the Steak and Bake, which includes a trip to the salad bar, a steak, and a baked potato for $25. It was a good value for the money and the staff was excellent. While the sirloin steak may not be the best in town, other steaks on the menu may be phenomenal. I enjoyed the salad bar as well. I apologize for not providing more details in my initial review, as I was in a hurry.
This restaurant has come a long way since it first opened years ago. They have received several Best Of awards, however, I prefer to judge based on my own experience. I can say that their kitchen has greatly improved over time. I finally had a burger and steak cooked to my liking, instead of the usual medium well that most places serve. The service is attentive and the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. The menu could use some improvements to earn a fifth star, particularly in the appetizer selection. However, I must give them credit for their delicious cheesecake, which was a standout dessert. It is probably the best I have had in Fort Worth, aside from what I make at home.
I highly recommend the fried chicken, the lemon meringue pie, sirloin steak and the waffles on the buffet. This was my first time at Buffalo West, and I was impressed with all of the staff, who were just so friendly and helpful. The pianist played tunesI haven't heard in ages, bringing back some great memories. Can't wait to visit again.
The T-bone steak was amazing. service was great. beautiful atmosphere. will definitely go back.
