The line to get our food was so long, we had to wait 15 minutes just to sit down. There was only plastic silverware once we got an opportunity to sit down. I got a half chicken fried steak. I have been ordering from luby's for over a year. You get a lot of food to go and noticed lately they have been putting the servings in styrofoam cups for the kids meals. I am very dissatisfied with this as the portion is much smaller than before. Good to finally find a Luby's again! Giant portions, friendly staff, clean. Very expensive compared to what I remember it being. I had a $7 Luann platter coupon. I added a piece of cherry pie and a fountain drink and it took me to nearly $15. Not at all happy about that. I think it is the price for the drink that made the price skyrocket.. I meant to keep the receipt but i guess I did not. I believe the drink was nearly $3.00?? Ridiculous in my opinion. Would love to make this a regular, but due to the prices it is impossible. For the price, there are many competitors for us to decide between; including some higher end places like Olive Garden and Saltgrass. I believe we would choose Luby's for comfort food, but so far as price goes, we may choose Golden Corral... The price includes a buffet and the price is lower... I do really like Luby's. It will have to be a special treat though!
It was fun to go to Luby's and see their selection of food. I'm glad to know they still have the LuAnn meal, which is decent sized portions for a smaller price. I had the chopped hamburger steak which was $8.99, including 2 sides that overflowed the bowl and bread. I took home half (i had a carrot raisin salad too). I would go there again and recommend this location.
Delicious American foods! Baked fish was delightful. Green jello salad my all time favorite. Tartar sauce very dilly flavor. Lemon pie to bring back memories of home made pie. Veggies delicious also. I am so glad I found a Lucy's near me. I will return soon. Watch yourself, eyes bigger than my stomach so I had a to go meal for home.
I waited in the drive thru for 10 minutes and kept saying hello no response. I had to drive up to the window and place the order. It took me over an hour to get my food and order. Horrible customer service. I was picking up an order for grandma.
