Absolutely amazing! I moved from Europe to Texas. It is extremely difficult to find a good coffee that tastes like that in Europe, which is not drowned in sugar... While the cappuccino tastes perfect! Cookies are also good! If I had more spare time, I would definitely be more often... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Madeleine:
Eating is pretty good. They started adding a raw material surcharge to the ticket. I didn't see a sign about it before. It is to compensate for the price of the goods. I think it's called a price increase. Why not just change on the menu instead of slipping it as a surprise at the end? View all feedback.
They did not have any of the products I wish I ordered a petite salad with a fruit bowl and Macaroons and they had only the petite salad and strawberries and croissants, so I got the and watched the server slam my croissant on the table, I had to go home and wash my strawberries and warm up my croissant, I wished it was a better experience here.
We came in at 4 o'clock the staff behind was missing when I asked a question she didn't know. Went into the dining room and multiple dirty tables. Plenty of time to have cleaned up after lunch. Very disappointed. The food was OK I prefer my soups hotter. Also the soda machine was mostly out and there was no regular sweet tea.
I used to love La Madeleine but this visit was disappointing. Not sure if it's this way at all locations now but this location doesn't have the Duet Magnifique on the menu (half sandwich plus cup of soup or side salad), although you can still order these items separately, so not a big deal. I ordered a half chicken salad croissant sandwich (no tomato), side of Caesar salad and cup of potato soup. When I ordered they were out of the complimentary bread and said it would be a while before they had more. When I received my meal it had the wrong sandwich but they quickly made it right with no fuss, although it had tomato on it and the croissant bread was a little over cooked. The potato soup has changed and is now very runny with puréed potato instead of potato chunks and it's definitely not as good as it used to be I wouldn't order it again. When I was almost finished with my meal I went back to see if they had any of the complimentary bread yet and they still didn't so I never got any. From the other reviews it seems that's the norm now. The employee who I asked twice about the bread (when ordering and again when I finished my meal) wasn't rude but didn't seem to care nor apologize that they were out of bread. Anyway, I won't be back for a while and if I decide to go to a La Madeleine again it likely won't be this location.
Although I don't have a sweet tooth, I liked their danish and cheesecake. They are not too sweet, I found them to be the right amount of sweet. My wife who loves desserts also liked it. They have nice seating areas both indoor and outdoor. Nice employees. Although I didn't try their other items, they looked delicious to me. We are gonna go again soon to try the other items.
Don't really understand something. Used to if you ordered the chicken Caesar salad, they would put the balsamic marinated chicken on it, like you would find on their sandwiches, ie the chicken Parisian sandwich. I've been twice now and asked for that chicken on my salad. Both times they give me flavorless cold chicken. It's literally not the same. Plus I asked specifically for the other kind. Why has this changed?
