Description

Tucked between a lively downstairs beer hall and a cozy upstairs wine bar, this spot offers impressive wine and beer selections, signature cocktails, arcade games, and gluten-free options—ideal for date nights, groups, or private parties. Diners praise the food, atmosphere, and live local music, though experiences vary: service and patio seating management can feel brusque and some dishes have been reported uneven. Expect a bustling, casual vibe with pet-friendly outdoor seating; it's worth visiting but be prepared for hit-or-miss service.

I've visited countless bars both in the U.S. and overseas, but this place was truly exceptional! They had my favorite beer on tap—Smithwick—and they offered sours too! The drinks were fantastic, the service was outstanding, and the food was delicious! You definitely need to check this place out!

The restaurant received a low rating from me. I felt they took advantage of the situation by overcharging. As someone who is gluten-free, I was looking for a place that offered gluten-free coleslaw. I didn't realize they didn't have a large container available and instead charged $3 for individual containers, which ended up costing a total of $18 for coleslaw! The flavor wasn't traditional, and I wasn't well-informed about the options. I found it odd that my question prompted them to bring over a manager. I've learned my lesson. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, and I did enjoy the gluten-free fries.

Almost immediately, a young woman in a plaid skirt approached us in a rather unfriendly manner and rudely informed us that we needed to go inside to be seated, mentioning something about a two-hour limit for patio seating. There was no greeting or welcome—just an abrupt demand. My husband went inside to clarify, and the unhelpful man at the front desk confirmed we were indeed supposed to enter to be seated by the host. In the meantime, I spotted a newly vacant table on the upper level and asked our waitress, Monica, if we could move there. She agreed. However, when we attempted to take the new table, the girl in the plaid skirt attempted to shoo us away, arguing against our move. I explained that Monica had given us permission to sit there, and that my husband had just gone inside to confirm. From that point on, our waitress seemed disinterested in serving us, offering no welcoming comments—only asking, “What else do you want besides water?” To sum it up, our total bill came to $60, and we ended up leaving a $10 tip despite my reservations. Our son insisted on the tip, as he’s generous and believes in supporting the staff, even though we felt we missed out on a pleasant afternoon, treated as if we were intruders. While I understand that some diners may linger at tables longer and restrict access to the patio, we were simply looking for a nice meal in fresh air, enjoying the fact that we could bring our puppy along, who remained quietly leashed by our table. Instead, we felt unwelcome throughout our hour there. Ted's, we won’t worry about taking up your precious outdoor space on a lovely day again. We won’t be returning. There are plenty of other places with outdoor seating and friendly servers who are genuinely there to provide good service without the attitude.

There needs to be more than one waitress. She did great for as many people as she had to tend to. Drinks arrived not so quickly, but it was unexpected for only having one waitress. Food was not that impressive. I got a chicken sandwich, and it was just chicken tenders from the kids' meal on my sandwich, I know because my 6 yr old girl had the chciken tender kids meal and they were the same. That is **** poor in my book. It should have been a chicken breast and offered as grilled or crispy. But I don't own the place. My opinion doesn't matter to them, but it does to someone who reads this. We drove 45 minutes one way to eat here. Drinks were not cold they were barely chilled. GO AND TRY THE PLACE I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DO. JUST DONT GET THE CHICKEN POPPER SANDWICH.
