O'Charley's - Fort Wayne
O'Charley's
Description
O'Charley's presents a mixed dining experience, highlighted by inconsistent food quality and service. While some patrons rave about the fresh salads and large, flavorful burgers, others recount unfortunate incidents, including long wait times, unexpected portion sizes, and even hair found in meals. Service, however, often receives praise, with attentive and friendly staff enhancing the overall experience. Recent visits have shown improvement with new menu items, though frequent diners express concerns about the restaurant's inconsistency. Despite the drawbacks, many still find value in the culinary offerings, particularly the steak and signature salads, suggesting potential for a satisfying meal.

Lunch Special 1/2 club with unlimited soup and/or salad... Good value but our Server who was obviously faking his pleasantness, did not clarify he simply ask what soup and what salad. Is that why we did not receive sandwiches? Nor did he ask if we wantedany more when clearing our dishes or leaving the check.
Got the bayou tenders, with a Cajun shrimp sauce. Not a very good choice. The sauce was definitely not fresh. Also got the caramel pie. It was just okay. Prolly won't be back!
It's an average establishment. Food was not something to rave about. Salmon was cooked on a wood plank and appeared to be slightly over cooked. Asparagus was difficult to eat. Possibly over cooked. Steak (6oz) was a little below average. Had nodissatisfaction with the fries or mashed potatoes. The steak tasted as if it were frozen, thawed, and cooked. I have never eatenhere before and I compare it to a Denys as for food quality. I was not impressed but it was edible. I do say as I was eating thesteak I was staring at Logans restraint next door and wondering if I had made the right choice. While I did eat a little slowthe waiter approached about 3 bites into the meal asking if I considered desert and if I needed any Togo boxes. A full plate offood so I wasn't exactly sure if I was being rushed out the door. Would I eat here again, no.
Balsamic chicken was delicious. Not a fan of the cinnamon and sugar sweet potatoes. Steamed broccoli is always perfect. O'Charleys does chicken really well in all forms. They bagged warm rolls to go for us, which was nice. They were out ofstrawberries for the California chicken salad, but our server was great, and we had little to no wait. Management is superattentive and friendly, but didn't seem to be around this time on a Saturday night.
