Lucille's BBQ - Fort Wayne

Went for the first time today for lunchHave tried to go for dinner in the past, but the line was always longIt was a really nice experience.

I've been waiting to write this review because I'm not sure they are still open since the next time we went they had a sign on the door.

This place was alright, not great and not terribleWay over priced for what you get.

Great place to go get some BBQ never had a bad meal there Lucille's is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal. We dine here whenever we are in Fort Wayne. The brisket nachos are amazing. The big Texas is very enjoyable as well. The service is great, and food comes out hot and quickly.

I went to Lucille's on a suggestion from a friend. Split a full order of the brisket nachos with my girlfriend and then also got a pulled pork sandwich with Cole slaw. The full order of Nachos was huge, definitely should have only gotten a half order. None of their food comes with sauce, but because Lucille's has a number of sauces you can choose from. I tried their mustard sauce, their vinegar BBQ sauce, their spicy house sauce, and their Texas BBQ. The sauces were all excellent. The Cole slaw was also pretty good but definitely more on the mayo side than vinegar. As for the actual main course the pulled pork left a little to desire by itself. The meat was juicy and nice but lacked. I used the mustard sauce and some of the vinegar sauce on the sandwich and it definitely helped the taste. As for the nachos the brisket suffered from the same issues as the pork but was good when combined with the spicy and Texas sauces as well as the other toppings. All in all it's a fine BBQ joint and worth trying at least once, but it might not warrant a return visit from myself. Side note: The staff is fantastic and the ambience is great.
