Kfc - Fort Wayne
Kfc
Description
An inconsistent KFC delivers classic tenders and drive-thru convenience but suffers from frequent stock shortages, long waits, and spotty customer service. Guests report rude staff, indifferent management, closed lobbies pushing patrons to the drive-thru, and concerns about food freshness; many left frustrated or chose nearby competitors. Though one visit praised the chicken tenders and in-person service, expect a hit-or-miss experience until staffing, inventory and management improve.

We had Beyond Meat for the first time, and it really tasted just like chicken! However, the wait time was a little lengthy.
The staff at this restaurant are exceptional and polite. I highly recommend a visit, as they remain courteous even during busy times.
I am not happy with this KFC location. During my last two visits, I was charged for items I ordered, but when I got home, I found nearly $7 worth of items missing from my bag each time. I won't be returning to this location again. It’s unacceptable to pay for something and not receive it. This time was a little better, but the service was still slow. I ordered three pot pies, and it took 30 minutes because they had to prepare them from scratch. Three other customers came in for pot pies and also had to wait. On a positive note, the staff was great, especially the young woman who took our order—she was excellent. Kudos to her!
I placed an order with DoorDash at 8:45 PM. At 9 PM, my DoorDash driver called to inform me that they only had the crispy chicken available, not the original. When I inquired with the cashier about why the original wasn't an option, she told me that they were closing in an hour and that it takes 10 minutes to fry the chicken. This indicated that I would be getting chicken that had been sitting out for a while. I do not recommend this KFC! I will also be reaching out to the health department to look into their food handling practices.
I visited KFC's drive-thru to order a pot pie and some nuggets, but was told to pull forward without any explanation. After waiting at the front for 20 minutes, I went inside to check on my order. I stood at the counter for several more minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Frustrated, I asked for a refund due to the long wait. The manager, who handled the refund, was very rude—rolling her eyes when I explained my request and blaming my wait on staff walkouts and training issues. She also said my food would be ready in just two more minutes. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I believe customers should never be treated disrespectfully. There was a suggestion box at the counter for improving the menu and service, but no pen was available to leave feedback. The manager clearly needs improvement. In the end, I drove to Lee's, got the same order for less money, and received friendlier service—all within the time I spent waiting at KFC.
