Such a neat place! Love the decor...a little old rustic style was so cute. The 'window seat ' looks like a must if you 're a party of two. Our waitress was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable and helpful during our visit. Our order was taken quickly and food and drinks came out promptly. We didn 't have to do a lot of waiting but we didn 't feel rushed. Had to send my steak back twice overcooked I finally said I didn't want it redone was ready to go home because everyone else and my party had already finished their meal you would think a restaurant that's been around as long as you have could have cooked that could cook a medium rare steak other person in the party had the Philly steak said it wasn't that great another person had the salmon and the salmon was dry so... We had an excellent dining experience with great food and attentive service. We arrived on Friday at 5:30 and were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately, which is usually not the case. Since we hadn't had lunch, we decided to try the sandwiches and the loaded Steak-Fritten appetizer. My daughter ordered the Fried Icelandic Cod, while I opted for the Chicago Burger, and we chose both baked beans and baked Mac and cheese as our sides. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly, and our server frequently checked on us and kept our glasses filled. We ordered desserts to-go because we were too full to enjoy more at the restaurant, but we definitely considered their German chocolate cake and cheesecake!
We had a fantastic experience with the service! Although it was a slow night, our waiter was incredibly attentive and prompt. The food is on the pricey side, but it tastes amazing. One standout was the tater dead appetizer, which was particularly intriguing.
The food was excellent, especially the roasted cod and the coffee-rubbed steak. My only complaint is that I only saw the waitress twice—once to take our order and again to deliver the check, as the kitchen staff handled the food service.

While visiting with friends we enjoyed our dinner here. We called well in advance to book our large group and they accommodated us with reserved parking for our show vehicles, options for dining and were able to get us all in and seated in groups of 6. We were able to enjoy drinks on the deck, cool off by the River or in the shade under an umbrella. Everyone had a great experience and enjoyed their meal be it Japanese, American etc… everything was delicious. Adalynn was our server who provided excellent, fast and friendly service!
