Love this little joint! Everyone is just so friendly and happy. Food is always great!!! This place remains quite busy; but I never had to wait! Take your hunger! I wish I remembered our server name, and I apologize, but she was super brilliant. Young lady. Okay, let's go, I mean, Queen's waiting. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Neighborhood Cafe:
Increased prices and reduced portion size. Great staff and food is great, but they have priced me out as a customer. $14 for four slices of French toast? They were always a local place that everyone could afford, but no longer. So sad. I know it's hard right now with the economy, but it's hard for everyone. It feels like tourist gouging, but it's typically been a place for locals. I'll stick to Waffle House and Crack... View all feedback.
Amazing service! This place comes highly recommended by locals. It's located right in front of the Books-A-Million. Our server, Wendy, knows how to cater to both locals and tourists as well as loyal patrons and newcomers. The staff is very friendly, polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. The chef they currently have is also rated five stars! We specifically requested a fresh and delicious Southern-style breakfast, and the staff kindly allowed us to stay after hours to enjoy it. This is outstanding hospitality at its finest! None of the three locals in our group have ever experienced service as incredible as what we received at Neighbor Café! My first visit was the best meal I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place—there are ZERO COMPLAINTS! If I were a food critic, I would give it a perfect 5/5 for cleanliness, management, customer satisfaction, and food quality. It’s the ideal spot for breakfast. I had three sausage links, a meat lovers special omelet, bacon, hashbrowns, toast, and Hill Brothers coffee along with sweet tea. Thank you for the exceptional respect and service shown to employees and customers alike. We will definitely be dining at Neighbor Café for years to come if they continue this way! - Local Emerald/Gulf Coast Amber Barlow, Fort Walton Beach, FL
Our server was attentive and good. Some of the other employees don't do much. Our food was good the only dish that was well under the standard was the Omelette. Not worth the price? barely ingredients and the eggs were rubbery. Either they let the eggs sit too long and don't fluff them or they use boxed/liquid eggs, but it didn't seem fresh at all. My eggs were perfect over medium, my husband Steak was a nice part and our son enjoyed his French toast. We love the old dune feeling!

It feels like tourist gouging, but it's typically been a place for locals. I'll stick to Waffle House and Cracker Barrel where the food is just as good but $5 less per meal per person. Service was great, and everyone was friendly, facilities were clean, but prices are not worth the food you get. Edit: Okay, added a star. Their bacon is out of this world.
First time but it won?t be the last. Great value, food, hygiene, service and location. Recommend and will return.
Hey, this was a nice stop after an overnight drive from out of town. I enjoyed the country ham with scrambled eggs and hash browns. Although it was very busy around 10am on a Saturday we were able to get a table for 5 right away. I also felt prices were reasonable and service was friendly.
