Rodeo Grill - Fort Sumner

Passing through Fort Sumner on our way to Red River and stopped at Rodeo Grill for lunch. We were warmly invited in and menu explained. The food came out quickly and the atmosphere was nice. Not too busy but had a steady flow of customers. The fried pickles (not pictured) had a great flavor and came with delicious homemade ranch. Kids had chicken strip meal and kid's burger meal. Both were good portions for kids. I had the Billy the Kid Burger and husband had California Burger. Fries were seasoned and cooked perfectly.

I was on my way to the mountains and found this little diner. From hand-drawn menu to the incredibly friendly atmosphere you can say it is a special place right in front of the bat. The food was not disappointed. We had a green Chili Cheeseburger (the Billy the Kid), rubber hotdog and a simple cheeseburger. They were divine. This was immediately a stop on our annual journey to the mountains and back. We plan a visit to our way home in a week! Edit: Forget to mention that the prices were excellent, the restaurant was clean and the RESTROOM was also. One of us is extremely picky about the toilets and he said that he feels more comfortable and safer than his home!

This place is the best secret to eat in New Mexico! We enjoyed gourmet hot dogs and deep roasted cats/with the best frits. Play music outside the country!

A FIVE STAR STOP! Whether you are a local or a traveler (as I was), do yourself a favor and EAT HERE. Beautiful service, great prices and a variety of amazing dishes! My crew has the Billy The Kid Burger, Bosque Sandwich and Crispy Chicken Salad ALL FLAVORFUL AND FANTASTIC! Your delicious frits are even made in the house! Definitely this place on the map for the next time we get through.

We arrived at 1115 and JUST beat the lunch break! The restaurant was full and the food was AMAZING! I ordered the Billy the Kid with onion rings and ate everything! I would recommend to anyone who wants a good burger to try this place. The only thing I would recommend is not let that customers on the phone started ringing the customer who stood before you before the phone. We came to the counter, then the phone ringed, and we are asked to wait while they took the customer's order on the phone. In my opinion, a great sense of business and a good customer service would give a customer a higher priority over a telephone customer. Otherwise, I just go outside and call me to get good customer service!
