We had a delightful lunch here today. The service was prompt and really hit that sweet spot of being attentive but not breathing down your neck. If you want a gift card, don’t waste your time. This is my 4th attempt on 3 different occasions. I was told no twice (during fall and winter-none available) and also that it would be a 20 minute wait. 30 on a Friday. Our experience was pretty disappointing.We were given a 20 minute eta for a table for 3 in the family dining area.Almost 35 minutes later, with no update from the hostess, we walked into the family dining room ourselves to see if any of the tables would be opening up soon.Only one table had their food and people’s drinks were more than halfway gone as they continued to wait for their food.Once she saw us leaving upset, she followed us down the stairs and said she just had a table open up… but no one even left.So we sat there for 40 minutes for no reason????The kitchen looks pretty small so it would behoove the staff to be honest with customers about realistic wait times and maybe just turn people away if you can’t serve that many at one time.
My husband and I go to Topside frequently for breakfast and I'll go after work for occasionally and sit in the bar. Every dish I've had has been really good and beautifully presented. Fresh ingredients, lots of flavor, great food combinations. My go to for breakfast is the eggs benedict, although I had the sunrise breakfast last time and it was perfect. My husband gets the French toast. I LOVE their salmon salad and clam chowder as well. Service can be a bit slow when they are busy but the food has always been spot on! Good variety of beer and the pineapple mimosa is a nice option!

Menu changed, and the steak salad I would normally get shrunk and did not get changed for the better. Still the same price though. But when before I would barely be able to finish it, now I was left unsatisfied. Changing a menu is one thing, shrinking the portions and still charging the same is another.
Wow! Incredible place in Steilacoom! The views on the rooftop are breathtaking. The food is full of flavor and their fries and crispy! The servers are nice and quick. This is a great lunch and breakfast spot. One of my favorite places to visit. Their fish in chips are amazing. Go give it a shot on a nice sunny day!
