Wendy's - Fort Saskatchewan

Wendys is your typical burger fast food place. The food is tasty. On this trip however, they were out of tomatoes and forgot to inform us - if they had, our order would have changed! The front end manager didn't offer to "fix" it once we brought it to her attention, instead they slathered on the mayo. I assume to compensate for no tomatoes. The restaurant looks brand new. Its beautiful inside. It has the new Coke machines that are electronic and have a lot of options (such as cherry coke, vanilla coke, etc).We won't go again. Even though the place looks nice, the food wasn't great, wasn't made correctly and were weren't given the option to change our order due to a tomato outage.

So we left the house this morning without eating and our errands got away from us and ended up costing us way more time than we thought. Being a weight watcher I was panicking about what to eat while out. Both of us were starving and bad choices were about to be made. So we went to Wendy's where I tried to be a good little weight watcher by asking for no bun and no mayo and extra veggies and can I have pickles even though they're not supposed to be on that burger etc. etc. etc. Most fast food joints have people at the counter who dislike people like me placing their orders. I know it's a pain in the butt to have every single thing I want to have something special about it but it's what I need for my health and I'm not afraid to ask for it when I'm giving you my money. The girls behind the counter at Wendy's happily did every single thing I requested with a smile. When I placed my order I did explain to them why I was being so particular and when I told him how much weight I have lost so far they were happy for me and encouraging and seemed very pleased to be able to help me with my journey. The food was wonderful I stayed within my points limit and left full satisfied and happy. I will likely include this location Wendy's in a weekly trip for a treat because they took such good care of us. My husband also noted that in the time we sat there to eat the restaurant tables chairs counters were all wiped down and cleaned twice. We were not there very long these girls were conscientious and seemed to realize that their customers would appreciate a tidy place to eat. I do hope their manager knows that the girls who were working on March 5 at around 3 PM are excellent employees and very friendly people.

The food selection is very good. Everything tasted fine and was hot upon delivery. The service at the till was hit and miss. "Sometimes" they were friendly, courteous, accommodating, accurate, fast and other times not. This isn't for a specific date; just my experiences over the past 3 or 4 months. I go there for the food, the rest is just incidental.

I come here often for a quick meal during work days. Every time I come in Val greets me with a huge smile and friendly conversation. I truly enjoy coming in and having a pleasant meal. I also enjoy the Coke machine with the flavour addition. I can get my flavoured pop at a reasonable price.

We've gone here a few times for a quick meal. Everyone finds something they like. I like their value menu. A wrap and a salad or the nachos with chili and I'm full. Their chili is great! Fairly fast service but not always friendly. Some employees need to learn to appreciate that they have a job and cheer up. Will come back due to the great food.
