June 2023, not much has changed. Safeway loses a star every year. Some staff are awesome, most are not. Expensive compared to other grocery stores, if you can find a price tag. Easy to access location. Produce can be great, most often not. Meat department pricing is not consistent day to day. Pharmacy is great, staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Clean bathrooms. Average Safeway, bought a large birthday cake. Bakery staff were absent. Had me ringing the bell multiple times.
They have wide variety of fresh produce with reasonable prices.You can find any kind of cheese that is my favorite part.Also fruit, bread and meat’s products are so tempting.
Awesome place. The manager, Andrew McKee, is very responsive to customer concerns. Hazel helped me with getting a large order at the sale price although I’m out of town and couldn’t get there in time. Sharon in the floral department has been so helpful and cheerful. There are others they have somehow acquired a lot of very good people. Congrats to Andrew on a job well done!
I usually enjoy using self checkouts, but the tills at the self checkouts here run quite slow, and I can’t scan my points card at it, like I can with a cashier.
