Toke - Fort Payne

I would give it a ZERO if I could! We've been to many Asian restaurants around the country, but this one was the worst.The vegetable tempura was tasteless and saturated in oil so we couldn't finish it. The tempera batter was not light and delicate like tempura should be. It was thicker and hard, possibly even overcooked.The ginger dressing was lumpy and tasted off.The chicken satay was undercooked and when we asked the waiter to take back and take it off the ticket, he became angry, but did take it off, which is the ONLY reason he got any tip at all.The vegetable fried rice, which had too much broccoli onions, was OK... Until I was throwing it up in the middle of the night.The waiter never smiled and we felt like we'd intruded on his time and took him away from his cell phone.And before we even finished our meal, a waitress was vigorously sweeping the floor, raising dust into the air. Disgusting. Mind you, there was no one else in the restaurant at the time. Did she HAVE to sweep right there, right then where we were eating?!Unfortunately, I may not be able to eat Asian food again without getting nauseated.I would NOT recommend this restaurant!

Food was great, service a little slow bringing out the order. Overall, good experience

I do not understand the hype in these reviews. Toke is average at best. The ginger dressing is lumpy and absolutely disgusting. They do offer plenty of options, and the prices are fair, but again, it is average food at best. I usually try to avoid this place.
