I ordered the conch soup, and it was absolutely delicious. On another visit, I tried the Angry Mahi Tacos, which were fresh and full of flavor. I enjoyed sitting outside while watching the sunset. The service was great, and the restaurant itself was clean and beautifully decorated. View all feedback.
What Tracy T doesn't like about Tarpon House:
The food had NO seasoning. The service was lousy. Me and other coworkers traveling from out of state attending a conference in the hotel. I had to ask another waitress 3 times to get us water and the starters. The restaurant was not too busy so I'm not sure why our server never checked on us. We ordered 3 different dishes and they were all unseasoned. The Philly cheesesteak was burnt. My fries were cold. Just a horri... View all feedback.
The BBQ Chicken Flatbread was simple yet satisfying, featuring breast meat that was perfectly cooked. The addition of caramelized onions provided a nice tang, while the BBQ sauce balanced savory and slightly sweet flavors. As seen in the picture of the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad, the seared tuna was truly the highlight of the dish. There was a generous portion, and it was incredibly tender, complemented by a well-seasoned, slightly peppery crust. This dish was served cold, enhancing its refreshing quality.
The Marriott Senibel Harbour is still recovering from hurricane Ian and the tarpon house was up and working. It serviced the pool and Charlie's bar. Had breakfast and lunch there while at the hotel. Food was good and staff were friendly and attentive.
It was a nice environment and we were promptly greeted and seated. Grace was our server. She was fantastic!!! We sat by a huge window and enjoyed the beautiful water view and sunset. Food....wow! Had the bang bang shrimp tacos with homemade flour tortillas. They were stuffed with shrimp and they were well seasoned and tasty. Husband had the Cali chicken sandwich and he enjoyed it very much. We both had a Ceaser salad side with our meal.
I've dined at this restaurant several times for its holiday buffets, mainly for the view, as there are other buffets in the area that are honestly better. Tarpon offers mostly the same selection as its competitors, but with less variety and fewer options, particularly in the charcuterie section. Their dessert offerings are particularly disappointing. While they do have the typical holiday pies and such, it’s clear that they’ve come straight from the freezer to the plate. Although we know other places do the same, it shouldn't come across as so obvious, cheap, and lazy. My biggest frustration, however, has been with their reservation system. It took me three weeks of daily calls at various times to different numbers just to secure a Thanksgiving reservation! In such a large resort, no one answers the phone or returns messages. It’s unbelievable. No view is worth that hassle.
Fantastic food with every dish you choose! The servers are wonderful! You can't top enjoying a meal while overlooking San Carlos Bay and watching a beautiful sunset every time! It's perfection! We've been dining here since the late 1980s. Mr. and Mrs. F from NJ.
