Absolutely amazing! My partner and I were out and he was craving Spanish food, so we found ourselves at this restaurant. I looked at the reviews, but I always take them with a grain of salt. I ordered the Piccadillo, and it was fantastic! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about San Luis Cuban Cafe:
I ordered steak sandwich. I paid 14 with door dash. I would rather pay for a sirloin at applebees . Because my steak was as thin as a slice of ham. One slice. Not even 2. I had bread for days on that sandwich. The only thing that did not disappoint were the potato chips. Were great amount of them. View all feedback.
The food was outstanding and the service was great, but I wasn't fond of the payment process. I ordered two items: the special for $9.99 and an empanada for $2.75, which were the prices listed on the menu. When I asked for the check, the server told me to pay at the front, so I didn’t receive an itemized bill. Instead, I was informed that my meal cost $16.10—a 26% increase that clearly wasn’t just tax. I don’t like unexpected charges, and while it was only a few extra dollars for me, a family of four would face a much larger surprise. Although the food was good, the misleading pricing led me to deduct two stars. If the pricing had been accurate, I might have made different choices.
This restaurant is a cozy spot with an incredible selection of tasty dishes. From the moment I entered, the service was exceptional. I couldn't resist trying the special of the day, which featured a delicious combination of rice, grilled chicken, and fried plantains. It was absolutely divine! I also indulged in two beef empanadas that were bursting with flavor. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fulfilling meal. And to top it off, my delicious food and a refreshing drink only cost $20! I was pleasantly surprised, as I had expected it to be pricier. Overall, this restaurant is an excellent choice for a delightful dining experience!
This is exactly the type of restaurant I love: a small, unpretentious family-run spot that locals frequent, specifically Cuban-American locals in this case. It might not be much to look at, but they offer generous portions of delicious Cuban cuisine at reasonable prices. In a landscape filled with chain restaurants, this place truly stands out as a gem. They also serve breakfast and lunch. I’ll definitely be coming back.
