Osteria Celli - Fort Myers

Fabulous restaurant. Everything homemade from scratch. We are Italian and very particular about our food!!!! Marco, the owner and chef, is from Italy and you can certainly tell. This place is so authentic!!!! The service is also outstanding. The wife and 2 kids work their own restaurant as well and are excellent !!

We had not been in Celli for quite a time, Covid etc. However along with another couple we agreed to have a nice evening there. Wrong. We arrived for a 5:30 reservation. Our waitress was pleasant and friendly distributing menus and taking drink orders. Two bottles of wine which we successfully selected, very good. She brought ice cubes which we requested. Unfortunately she returned every few minutes to take our food offer. We finally told her we weren't ready yet. Caveat: when we dine out in a good restaurant we do not want to be rushed. It is meant to be a relaxing evening. We are not expecting fast food. Our appetizers arrived immediately. Fegatini to die for. the best ever have tasted. Four pieces on toasted Italian bread. Whipped texture including anchovies. and Calamari/SPLENDID /Thought it would be fried,but was nonetheless pleased grilled it was not clear. Main course: mushroom ravioli with sage sauce. Delectable. Pasta Bolognese excellent. Melanzane/Egg Plant drowned in cheese. Veal cutlet salty and again over laden with cheese. Nonetheless we all we enjoyed our meals. But before all could finish, another server appeared to clear our table. One of us not finished eating at all. To make it worse boxing remaining dinners and putting the box directly on table. I had to ask the young women not to do that. To the owner: you have a nice restaurant, a nice menu, without proper service the whole experience collapses. Please pay attention to training of wait staff. We are not criticizing them, it is all in the management. It should be an holistic experience. We all totally felt we were being rushed and pushed out the door. It ruined our lovely evening.

Had the Sea Bass. Flavors were excellent. Nice portion, crusted with tomato along with artichokes and olives. My wife had pan seared scallops which were very good but the Sea Bass won tonight.

One of the best Itlian meals I've had in years! Service food just simply amazing Wine selection was incredible also. If you want am amazing meal it's a must try.

An amazing, family owned and operated restaurant with authentic Italian food that was fresh, delicious and presented well. Highly recommend!
