Joe's Crab Shack - Fort Myers

Had a dinner, and lunch a few days later, with my food fussy Mom at Joe's Crab Shack. It was her idea to return because she enjoyed the Coconut Shrimp so much the first time. At lunch I ordered Steamed Clams as a side dish. The clams were well over a dozen and were the best I've had in my lifetime! Our waiter was great. Definitely going back again!

Wonderful food, atmosphere and the staff are very sweet! We had a bucket of crab and talk about delicious. Love how you can take some of the beverage containers home!

The view is worth a 3 star, the food is rated a 2 star. We (4) all had their famous pot Joe's classic also tried Joe's classic sampler and their chowder. The seafood that is included in their classic pot, was totally over cooked and too much bay seasoning, the included corn was mush. The chowder was like eating paste, however, it did have a decent amount of clam. Very disappointed on the meals. This is a good place to go to grab a cocktail and an appetizer.

Music was blasting some herky-jerky music at very high volume. Impossible to hear waitstaff. After multiple complaints from our party of five and other tables, music did get muted somewhat. We were presssured to order drinks, appetizers and entrees when we were seated, then the waitress argued with us and said it was OUR FAULT when one of our party was overcharged. Shellfish (shrimp) tough and rubbery .I was offered Strawberry Shortcake for desert but what was served was some awful marbled sheetcake with red syrup. Not shortcake where I come from! Place was only half full at 6PM on a Friday night during SnowBird Season This place is sinking fast! My bill was over $150.00. I did not leave a tip!-Charles M. Shawver, Lake Ozark, MO

Simply awful. We ordered fish and chips. Cold fries. 1/8 inch of fish smothered in over an inch of greasy batter. Avoid the margaritas because they’ll give you heartburn. Sorry to write a negative review. Just being truthful
