Irie I Jamaican American Cafe

Food is a slice of Jamaica. Really good food. Really great staff. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I have been searching for a good Jamaican restaurant in the Cape Coral area and we found that Irie hit the spot. We ate inside although most customers were doing takeout. I had the ackee and saltfish and my wife the curry chicken. She actuallywanted curry goat, but they ran out. Both were served with steamed cabbage and plantains. We both enjoyed our lunches and agreedit was good but not the best we've had. We moved here from the Fort Lauderdale area which has many Caribbean style restaurantsand a large Jamaican presence. The food there is a high mark to reach and Irie, although good and worth another visit, doesn'tquite match up.

Great respect before the champion who works on this day. I had a deep cut on my thumb from cooking home in the night before. while I ordered to eat, I met my hand on the switch that opened the cut from the night before. while looking for the toilet, the man comes back to me and gives plastic gloves, hydrogen peroxide and bandages to clean and wrap my thumb. When he was done, he said, they'd keep the hydrogen peroxide. a whole bottle! it has been for decades since I was treated with qualitatiw high quality service as this in the united states. also the curry huh red, patty, and coco brot was delicious and tasteful. I will come back to visit this facility. great respect!

This place makes me feel like home! Very welcoming, Food's amazing, staff if very pleasant. Very nice and clean. My wife and I simply loved it.

My family and I lived in the Caribbean for years and have eaten jerk in Jamaica many times. This place is absolutely legit. Very authentic menu all around. Would go more often if the prices weren't so high at $13/lb for the chicken. But I certainly can't complain about the quality and taste.
