The acai bowls here are fantastic, and the staff is incredible! However, there was a significant issue where card payments didn’t allow for tipping, which is a problem that the owner needs to address immediately. Aside from that, this place is nearly perfect. What Cortney Palm doesn't like about Bahia Bowls Downtown:
The restaurant is in a great location and has restrooms available. However, I'm disappointed with the plastic waste; it’s not environmentally friendly, especially for a beach town where I'd expect a more eco-conscious approach. Edit: I've decided to give it a 5-star rating based on new information. It seems that the management at UPPER is involved and influences employee welfare. They should definitely look into the electronic payment system so that patrons can support the hardworking staff. I encourage them to take action to ensure that the employees, particularly the young women, receive the recognition and tips they deserve for their great work!
The bowls here are fantastic! What really enhances the experience is the staff. They're friendly, eager to help, quick, and they even remember your name! This place is definitely a must-try.
I had an amazing acai bowl! It was incredibly fresh and delicious. The staff was quick and very helpful, too. I highly recommend this place!

Feeling hungry, I arrived at the new Bahia Bowl in my neighborhood at 7:57 pm on a Monday, just as they were about to close. Alexis welcomed me in, saying they still had three minutes before shutting down. She then whipped up the most delicious berry smoothie I've ever had (Berry Blast)! I was truly impressed by the friendly staff and the tasty, fresh, and healthy food!
