I Love Tacos - Fort Mohave

I'm trying to reconcile the bad reviews with my experience and I can't, maybe they're old and don't represent current restaurant. Visiting from Los Angeles I learned about this place, and four of us went for their Wednesday special which one dollar carnitas. I ended up trying two carnitas, one longaniza and one birria. I saw the spit trompo) for the al pastor roasting in the back. that was interesting. Carnitas; on point, not too greasy very flavorful, simple as they should be, but tasty. Loganiza; without the usual pieces of hard fat that are a turn off. Very well balanced spices making it a delicious taco. birria; it was beef, that was a home run. you get a grilled Taco with a little bit of cheese melted inside and the meat, plus a cup of of consume broth that the meat was cooked in). No fat or gristle, the meat was falling apart the meat has the same consistency of a long cooked stew, as it should). Consume is mild. I enjoyed the meat so much I had to have another one plus I figured might as well try the al pastor since they have the spitz in the back cooking. Al pastor; again well balanced spices making the experience enjoyable they also chopped up small amounts of pineapple to make it a true pastor experience. They have beer and soda and the place is tiny. it's a hole in the wall. If I'm ever in Laughlin I will drive the 15 minutes to come to this place. We were a party of four and we all agreed the food was delicious. Often cooks add spices but they are not balanced, in this case every meat can be tasted instead of overspicing everything and only tasting spices inside of the meats. You can add the green or red salsa they have I prefer the red. If you're looking for a chili experience that burns your tongue habanero Serrano etc) this is not the place, but if you like the flavor of the meats you order to shine through the cooking this is the right place. Note, the daily $1 dollar taco special is not of a lesser quantity or quality than the other tacos.

The food was really great (carnitas tacos and carne asada burrito) and the place was small but clean. The service was friendly and prompt. We’ll be back!

Great service best tacos in the area, also best Horchata if you like those types of drinks, give this place a try you won't be sorry.
