Sweet Basil Restaurant - Fort McMurray

I Just spent 3 weeks in the bush. This was my first stop when I got out. I was craving Pho like a bear after hibernation. I was impressed, especially for Fort McMurray (no offense) and to top it off they have a few Filipino dishes so I copped some bangus to go. Again presently surprised. I will be back to try the Tapsilog !

I ordered delivery for the Rice Noodles with Lemongrass and Crispy Tofu, asked for it to be spicy. It was the best Vegetarian dish I had in a long time. Excellent flavours and the Tofu was cooked perfectly. I can't wait to order it again.

Bought dinner for 4 the rice was dry, chicken balls had mold on the batter obviously the food has been sitting for a while and reheated. Never again eating there.

One of my favourite place to go for Thai/Chinese food. Healthy and fresh delicious food. Great service . Not much wait time. Reasonable price. Sizzling hot plates of curry chicken, seafood, shrimp are delicious. Mango salad with shrimp is mouth watering. Noodles soup was so good. Fried rice is the best rice in town for me. Fried pork was good too. Highly recommend others to try this restaurant.

I can’t speak for the rest of the menu but the Pho was the worst I’ve ever had. The meat in the dish smelled like it was freezer burnt and the broth looked like dishwater. Terrible.
