The best Chinese food I have had. Wish it was still located in Peter Pond mall. When I go to Mac I have to go pick up Chinese food from there. The sweet and sour ribs are the best.. View all feedback.
What Marc M doesn't like about Shanghai Kitchen Restaurant:
This food is very weird. The sauce on the sweet and sour chicken balls tasted awful and it practically glowed red. The ribs had no meat on them and they were coated in a batter. Egg rolls were edible but they are not very good. View all feedback.
Staff are not very helpful. I asked what was left on the menu, how I came half an hour before closing. They just pointed out the articles and said, "This is it." Not very helpful if I can't eat a pig...
Not at all what I expected, but the food was ok, just not the selection I was expecting
Try a contract for delivery. I just wanted to make sure that two of their dishes I wanted had no meat products in it. She couldn't understand what I asked. When she understood, she laughed at me with the chefs behind the phone. 1 minute of her do not understand what I say, then tell me that I hurry and make my order because someone is waiting in line. They lost a $100 order and a frequent customer because the staff laughed at us when we had a simple question. Order from somewhere where they take care of the food they and their customers.
Try to support this business, but our Christmas Eve dinner wasn't good. It was good in the past. The vegetables were so slender that it was grouse. 3 of the members of our house were later sick and there was a damper in the night.
Shanghai Kitchen is my favorite Chinese place in Fort McMurray. Staple Canadian-Chinese food great for takeout on a cold day or for family and friends. We ordered too much for our New Years party and I happily ate the leftovers for a week. Solid choices are Dinner For 1 B, sweet and sour pork, chop suey, chow mein, and chicken fried rice.
