This small diner is a great place to get great food. My family has six generations that have enjoyed the fare. And it's the home of the first place to serve a hamburger in Iowa. The tenderloins and maidrites are my favorites. You're going to love the pies. View all feedback.
They offer fried clams and wonderful madrites. You also have great homemade cakes!!
Very original diner feeling. I love the fried pickles. Great value. Will definitely eat again. Nice waiting staff.
My wife ate here 50 years ago. It was delicious. We used to make rites 1. 1 zartloin, a super taco, onion rings, a banana cream cake and cinnamon coffee cake. Yummy. She still remembers. New owners are so nice and so was the staff. Like many locals who eat old and young there will be the next time we are in town.
Ok, there's not much seating in this tiny place, but the food is worth the wait for a chair at the counter-style seating. The Maid-rite hamburgers are fantastic (it's not a burger patty, but rather crumbled hamburger with seasoning). If you love bread pudding, you NEED to stop here and try their bread pudding. It was the best bread pudding that our group had ever eaten. We'll definitely stop here again next time we're in the area.
