I think this restaurant is okay. I ordered the appetizer sampler and the paella for two. The paella was very generous and was the perfect portion for two people. However, I was not impressed with the sampler. I felt that it was just average. The bao buns were cooked inconsistently, with one side crispy and the other soft. In my opinion, bao buns should be soft and fluffy all around. My favorite part of the meal was t... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kuba:
A friend recommended this restaurant to us, so we decided to give it a try on a Friday night. Unfortunately, we do not recommend it at all. The smell of the bathroom on the second floor was quite unpleasant and noticeable. Initially, we were offered a table at the top of the stairs where there was a lot of foot traffic, but we declined and eventually were given another table after expressing that we would wait. Haven't been to this location since it was a Korean bar ages ago. They didn't have lunch menu. So spending over $60 for lunch is my only complaint. Ordered churrasco and Cuban sandwich. They were delicious. Should've taken pictures of the menu since the one showing here are outdated.
The food and service were excellent! I definitely recommend it! I?m from Indiana and always looking for fun places to do dinner and drinks at. I loved this place!! The vibe was great, service was amazing and food was so good! Fun night out : Very tasty Cuban food in a fun atmosphere. The tostones and ceviche were awesome. I'll definitely go back again...
Unless it?s stellar, I don?t give reviews. Let?s support local businesses that are great and make us happy with their exceptional service and food. KUba, thank you for the warmth of all of your staff, the taste, mouth-watering cuisine that reminds me of my childhood growing up with my neighbor?s Cuban food. And of course, the savory drinks. Always a great place for Sunday brunch or dinner or after work get together a.
Jenison was a very sweet and cheerful waitress. Ceviche was the best I've had ever. Our skirt steak was perfect. White rice was flavorful. Definitely would go back.
All the food was great and portion sizes are huge/shareable. Our best dish was the Shrimp Kuban Fried Rice. Polite and fast service, but we came on a Tuesday evening where it wasn't too crowded. Drinks were strong but pretty good; not a huge fan of the coconut sangria. They also have happy hour, at the bar only, if you get there early enough. (Note: There's a discount if you pay in cash.
