Catawba Fish Camp

So I’ve never heard of place seeing how I just moved to SC. I came by here to do a service call for them and let me tell you when I walked in that kitchen the smell was so good !!! The kitchen is sooooooo clean and all the staff super nice. After I was done I was able to grab some food which was the catfish. This was some of the best catfish I’ve had since I been here. The breading was super lite and the hush puppies were amazing with a buttery taste. I definitely will be back to try more of the menu and of course the catfish

We have been going for many years but the food is not consistent quality. My wife’s fries were dripping with oil this time and the hush puppies were cold.

Calabash shrimp was like rubber and tough. Whole catfish were greasy. Put them on a napkin and oil soaked the napkin. Not worth 41.00 for two seniors.

We stood forever at the front waiting to be seated. The food took a long time to be served. The food portions were child size. We asked to move from a table to a booth. We were told no as it was a different server for that booth but our server handled the same booth . We will never return.

First visit, on a Friday evening. Easy in. McNeely a 3 year veteran was our server. She was very attentive. Great service. Restaurant has all you can eat fish choices. I had cat fish nuggets with salt/pepper. My wife had seafood platter, not all you can eat, but more than she could eat. Food was hot and good. Restrooms were clean, as is the entire restaurant. Will be going back.
