I dined with my family and we had a nice enjoyable dinner. The salad was very good, very fresh and the dressing delicious. My pasta dish was quite good. It was not too busy and the wait staff was very polite. View all feedback.
I ate Mancini's recently and had a terrible experience. I had last eaten there a few years ago when I was in Florida and had a great meal. Because of this, I thought I would bring my wife back for a romantic, delicious authentic Italian dinner. It was anything but. I should of realized that things had changed when they brought out tasteless cubes of bread which seemed like leftovers. Next came the wine which tasted like it had been opened a few days ago, not to mention the very short pour. We started with the Linguine with Vongole which was one of the worst I have eve had. No flavor , again a very small portion, and the sauce which should very tasty was watery. We asked to speak to the manager who listened but really had nothing to offer except a free round of drinks. I could go on and on but suffice it to say that the it did not get better with the entrées. Even the espresso was lousy. On top of this it was very expensive, approximately $140 before the tip. This is not the Mancini's of a few years ago . At this point it is a rip off tourist trap living off a reputation that it no longer deserves.
Visited Mancini's for a wonderful dinner...My boyfriend had a filet that melted in his mouth and had a phenomenal wine sauce on it and I had a Shrimp Fettucine dish with the BIGGEST shrimp I've ever seen in my life! Everything was wonderful. From the staff which was top notch. Very knowledgeable and courteous to their ambiance and their wine (quite a collection). Though a little pricey. It was definitely worth it!!
This is another great find on Las Olas. Service was attentive but not obtrusive. We started off with a Caprese salad and a chopped salad. Both nice with good presentation. My friend had the putnesca which he thought was one of the best he ever had. I had the fazzoletti filled with lobster. I was worried about losing the flavor of the lobster in the tomato sauce but was surprised by a great flavor combination. I wish I had saved room for dessert. We will definitely return.
Servers fighting over customers. They turned a couple away saying they were closed. They close at 3 and it was 2:40. We ordered a bottle of wine. When it came the server did a proper wine presentation but poured for me to taste it in a dirty glass. I said ;It is fine but can you please get me another glass? ; to which he replied ;Oh that’s just paper from the bottle ;! He left his wine key on the table with the cork still attached and twice my friend had to get up and get the bottle of wine to pour us a glass. He wasn 't on top of anything... I had asked for some herbs or some cracked pepper for the bread and was schooled that that is not how ;real Italians ; do it. I myself have lived in Italy for 1-1/2 years. I like certain foods and do not need to be told the proper way of dining. My friend ordered the Veal and it had the resemblance of shoe leather. Very overcooked. I had the fish special and it was ok but nothing spectacular. Then while he was at the table clearing dishes a friend of his drove by and he shouted from our table to them. We even asked for a different server and the same guy we started with kept coming back. Overall, I can safely say we will not be going back. Moderately priced food and service you can get at McDonald’s.
Convenient location on Las Olas Blvd. Outside and inside seating. Attentive servers providing excellent service and cuisine. Highly recommended for a relaxing lunch or dinner.
