Golden Lyon Vintage Pub

Golden lyon is the absolute best. the bartender, max, could not have been better. since my last visit it's been 8 years ago and I couldn't be happier.

Excellent service from Deb. The bar was packed due to the St. Patrick’s day parade however she was able to serve everyone without any problems. She is very professional and efficient yet friendly to all patrons and staff. I would highly recommend visiting the Golden Lyon.

We stop by the Golden Lyon every time we are in Ft. Lauderdale. The Happy Hour is great as far as drink prices and appetizers. We also love the bartender, Quinn. He is so friendly, always remembers our names and appears glad to see us, which makes our experience there so enjoyable.

The Golden Lyon is one of those local spots that you look forward to frequenting as “your” place whether it be for lunch, drinks or daily specials (oyster Monday, Fish Fry-day). Although it’s part of the Riverside Hotel and part of its patio is along Las Olas Blvd., it is an unassuming pub. The best happy hour prices it starts at 3:00p. I give it 5/5 stars primarily because of Debra, the consistent quality of food and great drink specials. Deb is the long time bartender (usually Fri-Mon) with the wit and midwestern charm that make the experience all the more enjoyable Whether she’s making sure your order is correct and to your liking, engaging in friendly banter, or offering a custom cocktail (such as her famous espresso martini). My go to is the Greek salad w/ blackened salmon (or shrimp) and a nice glass of white wine. Monday’s get you $1.50 oysters and you can’t go wrong with the citrus-poached shrimp cocktail or spinach dip.

This is a great place to sit and have brunch on Las Olas. Max was our server and was the perfect server; attentive, fast and accurate and anticipated our needs but also let us relax and did not rush us at all. The food is exceptional. This is by far the best pancake you will ever taste. Prices are very fair for what they give you and you cannot beat the atmosphere. Highly recommend it. And of course try the pancakes. Seriously, what do they put in them?!?!?!
