The staff was kind enough to change our seats from a table to a booth when we requested. In terms of service, it was good but not outstanding. I ordered the mango-Chile chicken, which came with two sides (broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes). The food arrived quickly, which was great as we were catching a connecting flight. We finished our meal with the popular molten lava cake dessert, which was delicious. If you're... View all feedback.
What Jennifer G doesn't like about Chili's 2:
I was going to write about the annoyance I had with the 18% auto gratuity, but see that others have already complained about it. For us, it was annoying b/c we almost didn't see it...and our waitress disappeared after we got the food (Magdalena) so I had to track down another waitress to get our bill so we can catch our flight. I would have lowered it to 10 or 15% but that would have taken too much time. The FLL airp... View all feedback.
There really aren't many eating options in Terminal 3, especially if you want a sit down restaurant to escape the craziness. I would normally never eat at a national chain, but I guess in Florida there probably isn't another choice, even in the airport. There was a wait at 10 a.m. on a Thursday morning, even though the restaurant wasn't full. I was hoping that at least my chicken tenders and fries would be good, but they were bland and flavorless. Portion was huge though. Margarita was OK, though I doubt there was much tequila in it. Service, however, was fantastic. My server, Courtney, was amazing. She was so nice and sweet, even though we had to deal with a mother screaming at her teenage daughter (to be fair, this awful woman was screaming at the daughter in the waiting area as well--I guess not having manners or being a good mom doesn't change when you get into a restaurant). The hostess was really sweet as well. You'll definitely get good service here, just maybe not good food.
I was surprised by some of the low ratings and horrible reviews for this Chili's. I have eaten here a few times and it was never that bad. As a matter of fact, tonight we had excellent service. Our server got our drinks right away, returned soon after to take our order, and the food arrived quickly. She asked a few times if there was anything else we needed and was very helpful. The food was fair but it was pretty much what I expected. 15 year old enjoyed his Fajitas. I got a Citrus Chicken Breast with Rice and Broccoli. The chicken was a bit dry but flavorful. The broccoli was prepared well and tasted fresh. It was my favorite part of the meal. The rice was uneventful and I left it over. There are more food options at FLL than ever before. However, choices are still limited. If you want a full service restaurant in Terminal 3 or 4, this older Chili's is still the only option (and its really not that bad).
Flew out to NYC from the airport that this Chili's happens to be in. Passed prior flight to get some dinner as we were going to arrive around midnight or so to our destination. Found in the JetBlue terminal, I do believe this might be the only sit-down restaurant around. When we arrived, we requested a table for two. Our wait time was 10-15 minutes and I must say they sat us promptly. For being an airport restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, this is a franchise, but given the location, options are limited. You won't find chicken Cajun pasta here, for example. They do surprisingly have their famous chocolate lava cake though. Boyfriend ordered a burger and fries, while I had some chicken fajitas. We weren't given complimentary chips, but again, this is an airport location. There are things bound to be different. I cannot comment on the burger, but the chicken fajitas were very tasty and filling. Service was a bit slow, but we never had to ask our waitress to come over and give us water. She was on top of that. Our waters had lemon wedges, which were a plus as well. Overall, for what it is, it was great. I would definitely return if in this terminal again.
I've read many of the reviews. And all I can say is. This place is not bad. It doesn't deserve the reviews that I have been reading. Well at least today it doesn't. I ordered the Guacamole burger. And it was cooked to perfection. I was very happy with it. I don't have much to say. So off to the Bahamas I go. Chat soon!!!
Brian was one of the most charming servers we 've ever had the pleasure to experience. His calm demeanor and attentiveness spoke volumes about his character; an excellent representative of Chili 's! The southwestern egg rolls are traditional Chili 's for me and always a palate-pleaser. The quesadilla was a bit charred, but still edible. The crispy blue cheese chicken tenders were soggy, salty, and inedible. Thankfully Brian saw we only tried a bite and took them back. Decent venue to wait for your airplane, but other customers were vocally unhappy with their servers... one even yelled at the entire restaurant...thankfully we had Brian! Not a fan of the 18% gratuity, but they say you can increase, decrease, or remove it entirely. I usually tip more than that, but it irks me when it 's added to the bill.
