I had a lobster ravioli which was delicious and plentiful. My husband had a flavorful grouper dish served over polenta. Restaurant name is no longer Botanic but now La Fuga. Waitress was very sweet. Drinks were fine. Would def. return to this restaurant- nice that we ate poolside. This place will be full in season. View all feedback.
What arrmagon doesn't like about Botanic At The Goodland:
I've been to the restaurant a few times, always enjoy it. The menu and staff have been paired down. The waitress was great, but service was slow, I didn't see another server. View all feedback.
Great service and atmosphere. Food was good and reasonably priced.
The place is getting better and better especially in the service area. Very happy to see this happening because it is a neighborhood gem.
Very happy to see that the service is getting better. It still needs improvement but it is getting there. I really like this place and I am glad to see that it is improving service wise. The food is really very good and it is a quiet place to have a conversation with friends. Hope the service continues to get better because it will be a home run.
Lovely oasis in Ft Lauderdale Beach. Food service excellent
This was my 4th time to try Botanic. I really want to like it since it 's within walking distance of my home. The initial visit was the best, but they 're very hit or miss. Perhaps even going down hill each visit. The first time I tried the Brussel Sprouts appetizer, I thought these are the best I 've ever eaten. They had small thick cubes of prosciutto mixed in. The next time, not so good. Then the last time I went they were good but no prosciutto. However, the rest of the meal and service left a lot to be desired. We opted to sit outside. Everything was served in/on plastic, which isn 't that big of a deal except the drinking glasses looked grotesquely dirty. The waiter explained it was a fault in the plastic. I would say replace them, it 's a bad impression. The Ceasar Salad I ordered was so thoughtlessly prepared and presented. Rough lettuce in a plastic bowl, a hidden sprinkle of parm cheese and two tiny crust crackers. No croutons. No pepper offered, none even on the table. The side salmon plopped on top of the small salad was mediocre at best. The entire presentation left me regretting I gave it another chance. I would have been better off purchasing a bag salad and a piece of Salmon from Whole Foods. Seriously. No wonder Botanic is largely empty every time I go.
