Closed due to fire on March 4, 2016.We had been going here for almost 10 years for our Friday Lunch. The owner & staff were always great. They became like family. We were there when the fire started. It was heartbreaking to know we were not going to get our "Lemon Pepper Fish" any more. We thought if LIZ fixed it up, it would take quite a while, but more than likely, she wouldn't reopen it. What User doesn't like about The Ridge Tavern:
if your willing to eat the food here you may enjoy it but the state of the building is very concerning, the carpeting is so old and dirty it is literally rotting away from the floor and the smell is horrid. not sure how they stay on top of health and safety there, but it was a horrible experience. This place has been closed for a whil now. It had a fire and never reopened. The property was up for sale and according to the real estate sign has sold.
Great portions lots of flavor huge menu for a little place. The post dinner drinks were cold and plentiful ! Can't wait to try the summer patio!
There is a hidden non descript building just off the highway in Ridgeway that houses a well-worn sign that says Ridge House Tavern. Up well worn stairs into a restaurant that is a happy meeting place for locals is also one of the best places to eat in the area. Generous portions of classic pub grub, homemade hamburgers and fresh ingredient's elevate traditional favorites such as jalapeño poppers and fresh cut fries to a whole new level. There are no short cuts here. While the pub can be qualified as a dive hearty flavorful favorites should not be missed. The service is warm and efficient. Do yourself a favor thee next time you happen to be in Ridgeway, slow down and stop for a bite to eat at the famous tavetrn you won't be disappointed! Just make sure you come hungry!
We go for wings on Thursday - good wings, good price. We've also had the hamburgs - Whoa - betcha can't eat one, they're huge!!fun staff.
