Driven past the Clarion Hotel on Garrison Rd. many times not knowing that this place even existed. Read a good review and to our delight the review was well founded. Gourmet meals along side of the usual fare. I had the roasted chicken breast covered wuth a sun dried tomatoes and pepper sauce and my partner had the salmon steak. What User doesn't like about Freeland's Restaurant:
We were recently at Clarion Hotel. We ate twice in this restaurant. We tried her Sunday buffet. It was very bad value calculated for the price. We had better in other chains that include a continental breakfast. Wait, but the staff was very pleasant....Giving them another chance, I tried to order a solo dinner later Lasagne. It was frozen in the middle. No fault of waiting staff and hopefully the food quality can be... View all feedback.

Very reasonable prices and wonderful food and service. Thanks Chef Ruthie for a true delight!
The night I was there they were inundated with customers. This was The waitress Deirdre's first night. The other wait staff and bar tender didn't show up.Deirdre stayed calm and cheerful. She also made sure everyone got there orders and the way they wanted then. She did an amazing job.The Chief Ruthe made the most amazing food. The portions were large and seasoned to perfection.I have had french onion soup many places but this was Michelin star quality. The broth was thick and rich with rosemary and red wine. There had to be most of a whole onion in it.I also had the chicken tetrazzini was large enough for two.It had plenty of pasta and lots of spinach. The next morning I had breakfast the. It was quick and done exactly to order. I overheard others commenting on how the eggs were done perfectly.I will be eating dinner tonight and breakfast tomorrow there before heading back to the states. If given the chance I will eat there again.
I had the special- SOFT TACO with fries and my wife had the Chicken Tetrazini. We both agreed that it was the best of each meal that we had ever had. It was not busy but should be. The chef and waitress were so accommodating and friendly. Wish we lived closer....
This little gem of a restaurant is hidden inside the Clarion hotel. Awesome food at a great price. Prices are very reasonable. Service was very quick. Food tasted like I had cooked it in my kitchen myself. Will definitely be coming back.
Freelands is a very nice full service restaurant located inside the main entrance of the Clarion Hotel on Garrison, next to the City Hall and YMCA. They serve breakfast and dinner and have a very nice bar and lounge. The dining room seats about 200 with lots of tables and booths. The corner booths are round and seat 6-8.I was at the restaurant for a private luncheon. There was a buffet that included a fantastic mixed green salad, tortilla chips and salsa, chicken fingers, fresh cut potato wedges, french fries and lots of finger desserts. The food was excellent as was the service.I had a quick look at the menu as I'd like to return. There are lots of choices for breakfast and dinner. The dinner entrees are more high end - steaks, etc,., and as such is a little expensive. ($15+) This should be no surprise as it designed to cater to the hotel guests and there is no competition on the premises.Overall, a very nice dining experience at the higher end that is great for business meetings or personal dining.
